    Pt. Richmond House Party

    Join host Steve Early and family for a fundraiser for Melvin Willis for Mayor.  Melvin is currently a City Council person and Vice Mayor and looking to unseat the incumbent, Mayor Butt.  Come to this fundraiser and support Melvin in his quest to bring to City Hall Team Richmond's vision of "Homes, health care, jobs and justice for all!" 

    Melvin was born and raised in Richmond and attended local schools. He has served as a City Council member since 2012 and also served as a Richmond Planning Commissioner (2012-2014). . For eight years he has worked as a Community Organizer with Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE). In that role he defends homeowners from the greed of banks and speculators and helps tenants whose rents are skyrocketing. In 2013 he was honored to receive the 17th annual “Mario Savio Young Activist Award.”

    Beer, wine and other delicious refreshments will be served and donations collected after hearing from Melvin.

    House Party for Team Richmond!

    Join Team Richmond candidates, Melvin Willis for Mayor, and Ada Recinos and Eduardo Martinez for City Council, at this house party fundraiser.  Help elect RPA's corporate money free slate of local leaders committed to 1) Keeping profit out of politics, 2) Building up affordable housing and confronting the issue of homelessness, 3) Protecting our environment, 4) Economic justice, 5) Opportunities for youth, 6) Public safety without mass incarceration and 7) Protecting immigrants. 

    Refreshments will be served and a progressive good time had by all!
